Plainview Rotary Club Scholarship

The Rotary Club of Plainview was chartered on May 1, 1921, making it the 43rd Rotary Club in Texas. Members of the Rotary club strive to improve lives and strengthen communities around the world by promoting peace, fighting disease, providing safe water and sanitation, supporting education, saving mothers and children, growing local economies, and protecting the environment. Rotary brings together a global network of volunteer leaders dedicated to tackling the world’s most pressing humanitarian challenges. Locally, our Rotary club partners with area schools and universities to promote education and literacy, recognize excellence in youth leadership, and provide support to tomorrow’s leaders. This scholarship is established to encourage students at Wayland Baptist University to strive to put service above self by dedicating themselves to causes that build international relationships, improve lives, and create a better world.
