Plainview Educational Partners (P.E.P.) Scholarship
The Plainview Education Partnership (a division of the local United Way) was founded for the purpose of promoting excellence in academics and attendance resulting in professional and financial success in later years. It provides financial assistance for those who wish to continue their studies at Wayland Baptist University, and for those who want to begin their careers immediately after high school, P.E.P. provides preferential access to entry-level jobs at participating Plainview businesses. Wayland Baptist University in conjunction with the Plainview Educational Partnership (P.E.P.) offers scholarship assistance, in combination with other financial assistance (scholarships and grants), for block tuition (up to 18 credit hours) per semester (Fall and Spring) for students who qualify during their first year at WBU immediately after graduating, as determined by P.E.P. and the Admissions Office at Wayland Baptist University.
General Eligibility Requirements:
- Must complete a P.E.P. contract during specified sign up dates
- Maintain a 95% attendance rate during your Junior and Senior years in high school.
- Maintain an overall academic average of 80% during your Junior or Senior years in high school.
- Graduate from a participating Plainview high school.
Students must maintain a full-time enrollment status of 12 or more credit hours to be eligible for the scholarship. To be eligible the second term, a student must maintain a minimum of 2.0 GPA after the first term of attendance.
